The Color of Kpop Performances @ SBS Gayos (Black, Red, White, Blue)

Dynamic Black : Kikwang, Jinwoon, Hoya, Lee Joon, L. Joe

I really liked this performance…the opening was interesting, there were some pitch moments and some awkward dance points but it was enjoyable. Hoya<3

Dazzling Red : Nicole, Hyorin, Hyosung, Hyuna, Nana

Some of the dance parts were alittle awkward but Hyosung and Hyorin  really sold the sexy

Mystic White: Jiyoung, Bora, Sunhwa, Gayoon, Lizzy

I loved this performance…they all looked really nice and the dancing went well with the song. Loved the stage setting. Jiyoung was stunning

Dramatic Blue: Jokwon, G.O., Woohyun, Neil, Yoseob

I may not have liked the song much but I loved the presentation of this stage.

lol should have been called Dramatic Black and Dynamic Blue.

I know my least fav was Dazzling Red but I can’t tell my favorite, the only 3 had different dynamics to their performances that I found enjoyable. Overrall good job everyone!

2ne1 @ SBS Gayos

I’ll start out by saying that tbh, unless it’s specified or MAMAs I wasn’t expecting a new stage from 2ne1, they haven’t really done it in the past and with the type of song ILU is, I wasn’t expecting it to…moving on.

CL’s stage. When I first heard CL was going to be collaborating with Sung Si Kyung, I was like ‘okay, with they do a remix, maaaybe it’ll work’ when I  found out the sound they were going to be singing…I knew it wasn’t going to work. I could hear what CL was trying to do in the song but it just came out as  bad karaoke . They should have gotten Minzy for such a song or hell, even Dara probably would have fit it more. Many people say CL’s voice is so versatile but I never understood it. I wonder why they went with CL in the first plact? To build the most hype? That worries me for the fact that soooo many people were hyped about her performance(even people on the red carpet were talking about it), and she sounded like that…we’ll see how it pans out. Anyway, below is the performance.

2ne1’s ILU

Ok so as expected they didn’t do anything new….their outfits look much better through fanpics than on broadcast and what they were wearing for rehearsal was better.  If CL would have taken that distracting yellow bird coat off and wore her hair down and if Minzy would have either worn or tighter fitting jacket or not jacket at all…<3.  Performance wise the performance they did at Melon was better. This one felt…stuffy, if that makes sense. The energy wasn’t all there and it felt…well..stuffy. Minzy and Dara(even though she’s sick) did well. Bom’s voice sounded chewy(like she had something in her mouth), CL was a little pitchy.

Aside from those things…looking at how they were off stage is more entertaining to me.(That’s really my main reason for watching end of the year shows, to see the interactions)

Honestly, I didn’t like Dramatic Blue’s at all…they could have done soooo much better

As for Mystic White’s, I really like the song. I’ve told people not to count Mystic White out just because there was Dazzling Red. Glad I can say I told you so…now I’m waiting to see what Dazzling Red’s song sounds like(it wasn’t released already was it?) so if it sounds bad or not as good I can laugh in those people’s faces.

The song is okay, it’s not something i’d put on my ipod or replay. His voice…sometimes, I’m not feeling it. It’s not an overly annoying Christmas-y song though so, good job.
